The Californian designer Raquel Allegra, loved by buyers and celebrities, offers a chic and elegant collection with grunge echoes.
Raquel combines several materials in her collections: silk, linen, French lace and cashmere, which are enhanced by prints and asymmetrical, bizarre shapes.
Fresh and sophisticated at the same time, garments are soft and comfortable thanks to fabric mixes, clothes and shredded tees often appear faded, "used" and full of holes.
This distressed style become popular worldwide thanks to its garments vaguely punk and 80’s.
Raquel creates oversized t-shirt, often vintage-inspired or even better from the Los Angeles Country Prison System.
Each shirt is hand-made, unique in its imperfections, highlighting its own stylistic individuality.
Raquel Allegra works on the t-shirt as if she wants to widen the weave, depriving it of its original structure, in order to create transparent and lightweight long dresses.
These leaders symbolize new hidden meanings, where the faded features are no longer associated with something bad and ruined but they are considered "romantically destroyed".
Plain shades as the beige, white, brown and ecru perfectly enhance this new concept.
