Philosophy

Lala Berlin is a German total-look ready-to-wear clothing and accessories line for women that sums up Berlin’s big-city, bohème and avant-garde style with an unconventional yet elegantly feminine pieces.

After studying business administration, founder and designer Leyla Piedayesh in 2003 began exploring her own design talent by making her own knitted accessories; her celebrated debut collection was launched in 2004 at the fashion tradeshow Premium in Berlin based on high quality knitwear, sumptuous textures of cashmere, silk and soft cottons.

At Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2007, Lala Berlin presented itself for the first time as a multifaceted label that stands out from the crowd with its novel use of natural yarns and innovative material combinations: what initially started as a knitwear brand flourished rapidly and has now branched out to create entire collections ranging from the iconic shawls and scarves, to dresses, shorts, jumpsuits and entire looks.

Clear lines and carefully selected highest-quality materials like silk, georgette, fine cotton-silk are mixed with seductive, yet coquettish glamour look, enhanced through layering of colours, transparency, slits and imaginative draping, vibrant patterns and striking prints.

With a philosophy of luxurious comfort and glamourous ease whilst being absolutely wearable, Lala Berlin's creations have managed to win over the hearts of celebrities well as international personalities from the worlds of music, fashion and film ranging from Claudia Schiffer, Cameron Diaz, Heidi Klum, Natalie Portman and Jessica Alba.
