Philosophy
Spanish shoe designer Manolo Blahnik, born in Santa Cruz de La Palma, has created this famous shoes and accessories brand for women in the early '70s, moving to London where he opened his first store in Chelsea.
Blahnik designs are a real cult among celebrities and they become famous thanks to Carrie Bradshaw, "Sex & the City" main character: in an episode when Carrie told a thief: "Take everything, but let me my Manolos", she has consecrated the brand to worldwide success.
Designs are art and engineering creations, made with high quality leathers and embellished with glam details: laces, stitching, polka dots, jewelry, buckles, ruffles, studs.
An aeronautical engineer collaborates to create Manolo’s comfortable heels.
High heels sandals, ultra-flat, pumps, classical “tongue" designs, boots, open-toe, Manolo Blahnik shoes are a must among "fashion victims": designs are precious, with a great attention to details and an eccentric touch: the pink shocking satin, black feathers or “ton sur ton” ruffles.
In 2006, Blahnik has created footwear for "Marie Antoinette" movie.
