Valenti is an important and well-known luxury retail destination in Pisa and a fashion reference point for both Tuscany and Italy, founded in the post-war years by Giovanni and Elisa Valenti.
Only by the end of the 70’s their son Massimo, together with his wife Ninni, sets the first accessories-dedicated boutique at 28 Borgo Stretto. Between the 80’s and the 90’s Valenti broadens its creative vision, proposing its clients new avantgarde brands such as Prada, Valentino, Ermanno Daelli, Yves Saint Laurent and Cartier.
In 2000 the boutique is completely renovated: the minimalistic view promoted by architect Roberto Baciocchi replaces the 80’s sumptuousness, made of crystals, briar wood and marble.
In 2003 the Valenti womenswear store at 25 Borgo Stretto is inaugurated and two years later, in 2005, a menswear boutique finds its place along the same street, at number 41.
Nowadays the company owns nine stores within the city, all located in the old town, ranging from Borgo Stretto, Borgo Largo, Via Oberdan and Via Mercanti, realized by the Baciocchi&Associati, Giorgio Balestri and Andrea Pinori architect studios, mixing medieval tradition with avant-garde architectural references.
Opened in September 2017 and spread over two levels, Valenti Donna at Borgo Stretto number 42 is an exclusive space that interprets the expectations of modern and demanding women offering high-end maisons such as Balmain, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta and Burberry.
